Colombia is a country in the northeast of South America. It is a country that is densely populated, with over 45 million inhabitants that are distributed over 2 million km2. It is a Presidential Republic, and its coasts embark both on the Pacific Ocean and also on the Caribbean Sea. It is one of the few South American countries that can presume to have coasts on both sides. Its capital is Bogota. Colombia, or the Republic of Columbia, is a Latin American country that has impressive extensions of jungle, of virgin flora and fauna, which is why it is an ideal place to visit for nature and adventure lovers. Its history has a before and an after discovery from the new world, by part of Christopher Columbus.
The main cities of Colombia are Bogota, its capital, Cartagena de Indias, Cali, Medellin, Barranquilla, or the Island of San Andres, Colombia has 32 regions, of which Bogota is the capital, and the most populated, with over 7 million inhabitants.
The coast, jungles in the interior, Caribbean beaches and on the Pacific Ocean, tourist apartments, rural homes, villas and chalets, hostels, guest houses, hotels, all of these accommodation options are distributed throughout the land.
Colombia hasa tropical climate with normal temperatures without extremes, and warm waters in the Pacific, or considered cool next to the area of the Caribbean. It is a country where you can practice numerous sport activities like windsurf, scuba diving, kitesurf, surf, swimming, or activities like horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking, or rock climbing if you go to the interior.
